The firm was established by Robert S. Hightower in 1990 to focus in selected areas of estate planning, trusts and estates, and corporate and business transactions, utilizing his fourteen years of prior experience with full-service business law firms. The firm serves business and individual clients throughout Florida.
The firm handles legal matters in the following practice areas: Corporate and Business Transactions, Wealth Management, Employee Benefits and Compensation, Intellectual Property (Trademarks and Copyright), Mergers and Acquisitions, Asset and Stock Sales, Retirement Plans, Estate Planning and Trusts, Probate and Trust Law, Asset Protection Planning, Federal and State Tax Matters, Real Estate, and Local Governmental Representation. Mr. Hightower is active in local governmental matters in the Tallahassee-Leon County Metropolitan area, and he has served in a number of governmental and community positions, including serving on the Tallahassee City Commission, 1989-1993, and serving as Mayor of Tallahassee, 1992-1993.
Further, Mr. Hightower has served on occasion as an adjunct assistant professor in teaching estate planning and tax related courses at Florida State University
Mr. Hightower is a Board Certified Tax Lawyer, Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education.
